Dairy Queen(R), which successfully entered the multi-billion dollar coffee club last year with its MooLatte(R) line of frozen blended coffee beverages, has now added a new flavor and new mega 24-ounce size.Beginning March 1, the more than 5,400 Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill(R) locations in North America will offer Carmel MooLatte in addition to the already popular Mocha, French Vanilla and Cappuccino flavors. And joining the 16-ounce size, with an average retail price of $2.99, is the new mega Moo 24- ounce size with an average retail price of $3.59.

The new Caramel MooLatte is blended with sweet caramel, Columbian coffee and ice, and crowned with whipped topping.

"We knew our twist on frozen coffee was as unique as our cone's signature curl," said Michael Keller, chief brand officer for International Dairy Queen, Inc. "However, MooLatte has surpassed our wildest expectations in popularity with our customers. The mega size and rich new flavor were natural next steps based on the product's phenomenal success."

Since the MooLatte beverage line debuted on the menu last June, sales have exceeded all expectations as the drink has quickly become a favorite among loyal DQ(R) customers.

"MooLatte is definitely a beverage that our customers, and not just coffee lovers, desire," said Keller. "With another flavor and a larger size, we are giving them more of what they crave."

In addition to MooLatte news, Dairy Queen also is celebrating a milestone this year with its most iconic brand, the Blizzard(R). The Blizzard, perhaps the most imitated ice cream innovation since the ice cream cone, turns 20. In recognition of the 20th birthday, Dairy Queen is throwing a yearlong party with new Blizzard flavors, several special events and promotions and an online Blizzard fan club.
