• 70% of all small businesses in the US access the Internet (Dun and Bradstreet survey June 2000)
• "Small business B2B spending has been increasing dramatically" (emarketer.com)

Although there is no data available on how many frozen desert industry suppliers have Internet access, we've found that small businesses overall are going to the Internet at a fast speed. According to recent studies conducted by independent market research agencies, in 1999 63% of small businesses placed orders online. Additionally, 46% of small businesses expect the Internet to help them reduce costs. The table below shows why small businesses are going to the Internet. This is relevant because in 1999 26% used the Internet for selling or marketing of products. We expect this number to increase dramatically especially within the food service market.
